Our priorities with Hotel Atelie del Mar content many interesting details. We offer our guests a tranquil and comfortable surrounding with excellent service and also a new alternative for those of you who want to enjoy the fantastic, endless, black sandy beaches of Monterrico. Colors you will find in the art of Violeta Marroquín that you can admire in many different parts of the hotel. You will find all the colors of the rainbow in the garden, in the different buildings and in the surrounding nature. Every building has its own color, but even though the range of colors is variable on the outside, you will find peace and harmony inside the rooms.

The warmth is everywhere! From the sun, shines daily from a clear blue sky, to the personalized service and the warmth in the paintings of Violeta. Hotel Atelie del Mar offers an environment where you will enjoy color and warmth early morning till late night.

Restaurant & Bar

Our restaurant is open daily from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm. Breakfast is served 8.00 am - 10 am, lunch/dinner from 12.00 (noon) until 9.30 pm. Beverages, food and snacks is also available all day long.

Pools

We have the biggest pool in Monterrico and also a smaller pool. If you like to swim – this is the place for you! At the pool you will find comfortable hammocks and sun chairs where you can relax in the sun or under a tree in the shade. In our clubroom you can watch television, read the newspapers or a book in a nice environment.

Internet

We have Internet for our guests. The wireless connection is free for those who come with their own laptop. For using our computers we charge a very modest price.

Exchange books

We have a small “library”, where our guests can exchange books – take one, leave one!

You can talk to us in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portugues, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish and German.

Art

At our hotel you can enjoy the colourful art painted by Violeta Marroquín de Björkas. During our years in Finland Violeta had several exhibitions and today you can find herworks in for example USA, Finland, Sweden and Denmark.

All rooms have private bath, mosquito net, fan or ac and a closet.

Reservation Policy:

A non-refundable 10% deposit is required to confirm your reservation. The 10% deposit will be credited to you against the total value of your reservation. This reservation service is free. The price we give you is the same (if not better) as you would get anywhere.

Hotel Atelie del Mar may have additional requirements and/or payments to hold your reservation up to and including full prepayment. The hotel must clarify these additional requirements (if any) before you are asked to pay the confirmation fee.

Cancellation Policy:

Unless Hotel Atelie del Mar stipulates otherwise, after paying the confirmation fee you are free to cancel for any reason and without penalty up to three days prior to schedule arrival. Any later cancellation or a no-show will cause a billing of one night's lodging per the terms of your confirmed reservation.
